…”they freeze, like a deer in the head lights”. Having lived in Michigan most of my life, I knew exactly the look that the author was referring to, and it made me shudder to think how many children grow up with this fear.
It is National Children of Alcoholics month (I know, every cause seems to have a month now), and our agency’s mission reverberates with these kids, and the sad cycle of alcoholic families. The linked article appeared in the Huffington Post, and it tells their story so well.
