Comprehensive Family Care
Transforming Families from Addiction to Healing
"Love, commitment and mutual respect are ties that bind families together. But other family ties - alcoholism, drug abuse, compulsive disorders, depression, emotional and physical abandonment leave scars that can last a lifetime", according to Dr. Claudia Black.

When someone makes the decision to receive treatment for alcohol or other drug addiction themselves, they have made a decision that involves their family as well. A successful addiction recovery involves the work of the entire family, not just the chemically-dependent person. Community Healing Centers has developed programs to assist family members of those in treatment.
While the dependent person goes through the appropriate treatment programs, family members are invited to participate in several of our FAMILY MATTERS programs. These programs are designed to educate family members about the disease process of addiction and how they have each been affected. We offer support and the life tools necessary to reconcile current issues facing the family. We acknowledge their pain and offer opportunity for healing.
Community Healing Centers' FAMILY MATTERS Programs provide a comprehensive family services that interrupt the progression and negative impact of the family disease of addiction. These include Multi-Family Group Therapy, Couples Groups, Parenting Groups, Family Intervention Services and specialized Children's Groups called Kidshare.
FAMILY MATTERS enhances the lives of those going through addiction treatment, but most importantly the silent victims - their children and other family members.
Kidshare Children's Groups - Fun, food and laughter are included! Age appropriate groups and activities provide children and teens with a safe place to talk about their feelings, learn about addictions, and gain the tools to take care of themselves.
Intervention Services - For those families who come forward for help without the cooperation of the addicted family member, we offer Family Intervention Services. Our intervention counselors will work with the family to actively assist them in getting the individual into the appropriate treatment setting.
Family and Friends Group - A first step in understanding the disease of addiction, providing education and support for family and friends. A safe, confidential environment to discuss feelings, concerns, and to ask questions.
Couples Counseling - Focuses on coaching and mentoring partners so that they learn how to heal, communicate, and improve their conflict resolution.
Family Groups - Multi-family group sessions allow for families to learn from each other. The powerful support that families receive in this setting helps them to make the changes necessary and rebuild a sense of hope.
Parent Support - How do you recover and parent at the same time? Parents learn what to say to their kids, what risk factors their children are facing, and what protective measures they can use to buffer against those risk factors.
